Specific Behavioral Content
Studies indicate that many patients want to clearly understand the purpose and possible side effects of their prescribed medication or the consequences of using a medical device. Before providing that education, we assess patients' current level of understanding: Do they know why their healthcare provider recommended the treatment? Did they leave their physician's office knowing just how to use the prescribed regimen?
At MedAdherence, we then utilize behavioral modification techniques integrated with the preferred communication channels to develop content that helps patients, caregivers, and their healthcare professionals communicate more effectively and work in concert with each other to ensure patients' compliance with their prescribed regimen. The techniques we employ are based largely on learning principles, and are measurable, easily defined, applicable to everyday life, and emphasize accountability for each of the involved parties.
